I have loved numbers, patterns, and logic puzzles since I was a child so it was no surprise that I eventually became a Math Specialist. On my journey, I studied History and Japanese at the University of Rochester and then received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Canisius College. I was a first grade teacher and then a third grade teacher. When an opening came available to be a Math Specialist, I jumped at the opportunity and never looked back. I love sharing my enthusiasm for math with all of my students. There is nothing more exciting then finding new ways to look at relationships between numbers. I love working with our very youngest students all the way through high schoolers.
When I am not discussing math, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 3 kids, and a variety of pets. I spend my weekends being creative silversmithing, fusing glass, and glass mosaics.
