Born and raised in Bowling Green, Kentucky, I attended Western Kentucky University to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree, I moved to Cambridge, England, where I earned a Master of Philosophy in Psychology and Education at the University of Cambridge. Upon returning to Kentucky, I taught kindergarten and second grade for several years. I also returned to Western Kentrucky Univeresity to earn a Master’s degree in Special Education.
My husband, Paul, and I have lived in Kentucky, Pasadena, California; and Seattle, Washington. When we moved to Maryland, we knew this is where we wanted to raise our three children, Nolin, Harris, & Josephine. In Maryland I taught pre-kindergarten and second grade, as well as special education.
I am an avid learner and recently completed an Education Specialist degree in Social Emotional Learning. I am thrilled to be a part of the McLean community teaching Kindergarten!
