After graduating from college with a BA in History and a Masters in Secondary Education, I had all the intention of becoming a High School History Teacher. Fast forward to student teaching and I quickly realized my place wasn’t in the classroom, but somewhere else. I loved being in schools and working with educators and students, so I found success working as a College Admissions Counselor for Lehigh University and Dickinson College. While I loved the post secondary world, once I moved to DC I returned back to K-12 schools. After a brief stint at a charter school, I found my home at McLean School in 2012 in the Admission Office, helping students and their families in their journey of finding the right fit. Now in the Communications and Marketing Office, I love the opportunity to tell our story of transformative education, in a variety of mediums. In my spare time, you can find me enjoying life in Northern Virginia with my husband and daughter.
