I am sort of a teacher, an artist, a builder, an explorer, an amateur web designer and a committed scientific investigator. I have studied at Harvard University, American University, Trinity College, and Michigan State and have degrees in Arts in Education, Special Education, and Political Science. Over the years, I have been researching arts integration and how it can support students with learning challenges. It has been my great privilege to help students flourish in and through the arts in many different ways throughout my career, and now as a Visual Arts and Technology educator at McLean.
When I’m not teaching, creating, or thinking about art, I love to explore the outdoors and go on silly adventures with my husband Chris, my daughter, Sawyer, and our sweet pup Charley (not pictured).
