My Story

Always a learner at heart, I’ve spent over 15 years creating learning environments where engagement and active learning drives student growth. I’ve served in roles ranging from Instructional Librarian to Director of EdTech and Innovation, and each experience has deepened my commitment to helping all students feel seen, heard, and empowered to learn.

I earned my degree in Psychology with a minor in Special Education from the University of Maryland (go Terps!) and my MS in Instructional Technology from Towson University. Most recently, I was honored to be a Teach for the Future Fellow, continuing my commitment to growth and innovation in education. Ongoing professional learning is central to my practice. Through the Science of Teaching & School Leadership Academy, I’ve studied how research in Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE) science can strengthen instruction and support diverse learners. My participation in the National SEED Project has equipped me to lead equity-focused conversations that build more inclusive school communities.

In the classroom, I strive to cultivate a culture where student voice is amplified, academic risk-taking is encouraged, and learning feels meaningful and connected to the real world. I use a blend of project-based learning, Responsive Classroom practices, and thoughtful differentiation to meet students where they are and help them grow into who they’re becoming.

Outside of school, I’m a proud mom of two, lover of books and sunshine, and loyal DC sports fan (yes—even during the tough seasons). I recharge by walking my Goldendoodle, Gus, and enjoying the mountain views of Colorado with my family. I’m grateful to be part of a school that values creativity, collaboration, and the joy of learning.
