My Story

I am thrilled to be part of the McLean School community and share my passion for teaching, learning, and student growth. My teaching journey at McLean began when I served as the long-term substitute for the Upper School ASL classes. As a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA), I am passionate about helping others connect with ASL and learn more about the Deaf community and culture. I am excited to step into my permanent role as a math teacher!

I have always enjoyed supporting students in their learning, having tutored others in math throughout high school and university. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from American University, where I also served as Treasurer of Student Government. Before joining McLean, I worked as a Program Assistant at American Councils for International Education, supporting its mission to promote youth excellence in language learning and cultural exchange. I also served as a Research Assistant with the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomacy Lab, where I worked with large datasets, analyzed complex reports, and presented findings to the Departments of State and Commerce.

I’m excited to build connections within the McLean community and to help students thrive both in and out of the classroom.
