I am originally from Miami, Florida, lived ten years in London, and now consider the Washington area home. I have had the opportunity to work in various creative industries, such as fashion and art, which have influenced me to pursue teaching, which is the job that requires the most creativity. I am passionate about teaching and making connections with my students. I earned a Master’s degree in Special Education from American University and hold a BA in Public Communications and a minor in Education Studies. I love our community at McLean School and have taught here since 2001. When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my four children, traveling, reading, cooking, exercising, embracing the present moment, and enjoying life.
