I grew up in upstate New York, where the snow banks were often taller than I was! Upon graduation from a rural high school, I completed a BS in Biology and Chemistry at SUNY Fredonia, a MS in Organic Chemistry at the University of Michigan and my EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. Because I missed snow and winter, I made my way back north and arrived at McLean. One of my favorite things about teaching science is when students start asking questions about how the world works around them on their own and recognizing how intertwined everything is, working together in intricate systems. In my spare time, I love hiking and being inspired by the natural world around us and attending concerts from my favorite artists and completing all different types of puzzles!
