My Story

Prior to McLean, I taught in Arlington Public Schools. My favorite part about teaching is giving students the tools they need to become confident in themselves as learners, no matter what subject it is. I am a Marylander through and through as a proud alumna of the Montgomery County Public School system. I also went to the University of Maryland, where I received a double degree in journalism and art history, and I have a Master’s degree in elementary education from The George Washington University.

Before I found my love for teaching, I worked for several years in the journalism industry. I worked in various capacities, from social media management to editing, multimedia reporting, web design, and more! I loved my time as a journalist, but the opportunity to work with so many students makes me excited every day! When I’m not teaching, I am often reading, trying a new restaurant, or spending time outdoors with my husband and our dog. All of my adventures have brought me to McLean, where I share with my students a love for learning and discovering new things.
