My Story

I started my journey at McLean School over 15 years ago, as a grade 4 student in 2009, and returned in 2022 as a Teaching Assistant in the Lower School. Now I am pleased to be the K-4 STEM teacher. I love science, art, and engineering; combining these passions is my goal for an engaging and fun STEM experience. The fusion of creativity and observation is so important in tapping into our potential as future scientists and giving our students the tools to be curious learners. In 2022, I received a liberal arts degree in studio art at American University. I continue to take professional development courses offered through McLean and pass my Praxis for state accreditation. Outside of school, I am always working on a new art project: ceramics, painting, welding, or some other form of creation. I also love to play with my dog Daphne and read science fiction. I love working in such a tight-knit community and look forward to many amazing years!
