I studied economics and psychology at Brandeis University, then after working with kids with autism decided I wanted to pursue a career in education. I received my Master’s degree in education from Lesley University. My dad played a lot of math games with me when I was little, so I always thought math was fun and wanted to make it fun for other people. I came to McLean because I have found so many students, even adults, struggle with basic math concepts and I felt McLean was a place I could make a difference with this subject.
I play violin and piano; I play in the Columbia Orchestra and with the Howard County Ballet. I love to cook. I also love animals and have pet cats and a rabbit.
