English

I am very excited to be back in the Upper School! I began my teaching career and my time at McLean as a Long-Term substitute in the English Department, and I am happy to be back in that role.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English from High Point University, where I also minored in Entrepreneurship and Media Production. I am thrilled to be teaching English, where I can help students develop their reading and writing skills and prepare them for the amount of writing they will be expected to produce in college. I aim to twist the more mundane aspects of English into interactive, and engaging lessons that the students can really sink their teeth into and enjoy while developing their skills.

Outside of teaching, I have a large interest in film and television, and am an avid reader and writer. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and having as many unique experiences as I can.
