I am very excited to teach Band & Guitar at McLean! I hold two bachelor’s degrees from West Chester University (Music Education & Music Performance) and a master’s degree from the University of Denver in Music Performance. I am currently finishing my doctorate in Guitar Performance and a second master’s degree in Musicology from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Music is one of my greatest passions in life, and I have benefitted from enthusiastic teachers who inspired me to be a musician. As a teacher, it is my goal to continue this lineage of wonderful teachers who open their students to the creativity and self-expression that music provides.
When I am not teaching, you can usually find me on a long run or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen. Since I grew up in Pennsylvania, I am a very big Philadelphia sports fan and you can find me rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles every Sunday!
