I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and have a BA in Educational Studies from Trinity College and an MA in Special Education from American University. Before becoming the Lower School Reading Specialist, I taught grade 2 and grade 4 at McLean. I am passionate about ensuring that all students have access to effective and fun literacy instruction. One of my favorite parts of teaching is seeing students’ confidence grow on their journeys to become readers.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I love taking our dog on walks and exploring DC. I am always happy spending time reading, cooking, baking, and watching sports.
