Christy McCauley

Interim Director of Athletics, Coaching & Mentoring

I returned to McLean School in 2022 after first teaching Physical Education here in the early 2000s, and coming back truly felt like coming full circle. With 15 years of experience as an Athletic Director, I am passionate about teaching, coaching, leadership, and lifelong learning. I am dedicated to developing strong athletic programs, mentoring coaches, and supporting student-athletes both on and off the field.

I recently earned my LPGA Class A Teaching Certification and am also a licensed soccer coach. I strongly believe in the power of athletics and physical education to positively shape students’ confidence, teamwork, resilience, leadership skills, and overall well-being.

Prior to my current role at McLean, I served as Athletic Director at Noble Academy, Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, and The Woods Academy. These experiences strengthened my commitment to building athletic programs that foster character, inclusion, sportsmanship, accountability, and competitive excellence.

As McLean’s Interin Director of Athletics, Coaching & Mentoring, I strive to bring energy, organization, strong communication, relationship-building, and a student-centered approach to the program. My goal is to help students develop strong social, physical, and leadership skills while fostering a lifelong commitment to fitness, wellness, and emotional well-being.

Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and staying active. Last summer, I spent time golfing with friends in Ireland and Scotland, and one of my most memorable experiences was traveling to Iceland in 2018 to see the Northern Lights during the winter. I also enjoy golf, tennis, and pickleball. One of my personal goals is to golf in all 50 states, with just seven states remaining! Above all, I value spending quality time with family and friends.
