Brienne McKay

Administrative Assistant

I grew up on Canada’s East Coast and earned a BS in both psychology and biology from the University of New Brunswick. My career in education has taken me across a few borders, from schools in Japan and North Carolina to my current home in Maryland. Along the way, I also gained an interest in environmental issues and valuable administrative experience helping to manage a great group at an environmental law firm.

My family and I moved to Maryland nearly ten years ago, and it has been home ever since. I’m delighted to be part of the McLean community and to help create a warm, welcoming experience for every student, family, and visitor who walks through our doors.

Outside of school, I’m a proud baseball mom to a preteen son who keeps my husband and I on our toes. I’m always happy with a good cup of tea, and when I’m not at the front desk, you’ll usually find me reading, spending time with family and friends, gardening, or taking on an overly ambitious DIY project.
