History

I’ve spent most of my life right here in Maryland, though my wardrobe has always been a bit plain to put on one of those state-flag-covered suits. After the third time I showed my family I could rattle off every president in order, they told me I would end up in government or education. I started my career in the former, and after getting my Master’s in Public Policy at Georgetown, I began working with local governments, teaching elected officials the lessons their neighbors had learned about disaster preparedness first-hand. Along the way, I found myself missing conversations that were rooted in possibility, and I’m so excited to be sharing all the great stories and lessons our world has to tell.

Give me a minute to ramble and I can still tell you every president or every king and queen of England in order, and all sorts of other trivia that my wife tolerates with endless patience. When I’m not doing that, I love to curl up with a book, watch a movie, bake more than I probably should, and plot out the occasional grand trip across the world.
