Matt Horne

Counselor

After two years studying Music Recording and playing baseball at Finger Lakes Community College, I attended SUNY Oneonta, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies and a Master’s in School Counseling. I moved to the Washington DC area in 2023 from upstate New York (Go Yankees!), where I was a Counselor, baseball coach, and soccer coach in a small rural school district about the same size as McLean. My mission as a Counselor is to build relationships that empower students to feel love and belonging among their peers and communities. One of my favorite ways to connect with students is through coaching baseball and facilitating clubs at lunch.

Outside school, I enjoy running, playing guitar, and visiting family.
