Transportation
We are committed to making it as easy as possible for students to get to and from McLean School.
We operate an extensive bus network throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
K-4 students may either ride one of our school buses or be dropped off at the Falls Road Campus. Grades 5-12 students are required to travel to and from school via bus. Parking is availabe nearby for student drivers. Families unable to participate in the bus transporation program may request an exemption to this policy.
We offer two types of transporation options to both campuses. The first are “Satellite Bus Stops” near campus, for which there is no charge. The second option are “Cluster Bus Stops” located throughout the region. This service is heavily subsidized by the school and has a flat fee of $2,750 per student.
McLean operates a Late After School Bus for Middle and Upper School students participating in after-school activities. at 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm The 5:00 pm bus drops off at the Grosvenor Metro, MD; MacArthur Blvd., DC; and McLean Presbyterian Church in VA. The 6:30 pm bus services Grosvenor Metro, MD; and McLean Presbyterian Church, VA.
