Sam Buffone, Jr.

Sam Buffone, Jr. is the founding partner of the Buffone Law Group, a law firm specializing in representing whistleblowers under the False Claims Act and other whistleblower reward programs, as well as a diverse plaintiff-focused commercial litigation and employment practice. Before forming his firm, Sam was Senior Trial Counsel in the Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, where his work at DOJ led to recoveries for the United States totaling over $2 billion.

Sam Buffone, Jr. is the father of two boys, including Max ’33, who has attended McLean School since grade 4. Sam’s family is a second-generation McLean family as his sister, Anna, is a McLean alum. Sam, his wife Sarah, their two boys, and their large Golden Doodle live in DC. They enjoy hiking in Rock Creek, exploring DC restaurants, and playing board games.
