I was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico where my heart still resides. I moved to Maryland 35 years ago and worked at several nonprofits in Washington, DC until 2000 when I decided to go to Nursing School. I received my nursing license in 2004 and I have worked in home care, pediatrics, and finally as a school nurse. I truly enjoy working with children and providing a holistic approach to their care. I believe that a student will be ready to learn if their physical, emotional, and psychological health are all in balance. In my free time I enjoy traveling the world and experiencing new cultures, foods, and adventures. I also volunteer with an organization that provides customized birthday parties for children in homeless shelters. Every child deserves to have the day that they were born celebrated and acknowledged in a special way.
