My Story

As a lifelong learner, I am excited to get started working with and learning with students at McLean School. I have always felt passionate about supporting all learners by celebrating and enhancing their individual strengths and interests. Whether in the classroom, an extracurricular, or in casual settings, I believe that there are always things to be learned and experiences to grow from.

I received my undergraduate degree at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and am currently pursuing my masters degree in Special Education at Johns Hopkins. Over the summers, I tutor, coach, and facilitate staff development at a camp in Maine. I also teach a combined gardening and culinary arts curriculum there, which allows me to combine my passions for plant growth, cuisine, and teaching. During free time, I love to expand my culinary repertoire and to read about food history, culture, and science. I have found that connecting food to other topics can help facilitate student understanding of complex ideas and abstract concepts. I look forward to being part of the McLean community!
