Mindful Parenting

Downtime, or a mindfulness practice, is to the brain what sleep is to the body.” —Dr. Michael Rich, Professor, Harvard Medical School

McLean integrates Mindfulness into the curriculum and offers training for parents who are interested in learning more about the topic. Parents learn about the strategies and benefits of Mindfulness and how to incorporate the practice at home. Parents are able to reinforce the Mindfulness activities that their children are learning in school—such as gratitude, heartfulness, empathy, and positive thinking. To discover more about the benefits of Mindfulness, here are some featured articles in Time magazine.
