I am a faculty member and an alumna of McLean School. I joined as a faculty member in 2013, after graduating with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Towson University. When not teaching 6th grade, I like to spend time with friends, family, and be outside enjoying great adventures. I have jumped out of a plane four times in my life, and hope to do it many more times! McLean holds a special place in my heart - it is where I learned to learn. When I was a young student at a large public school in Washington, DC, I felt like I was just a number. Enrolling at McLean I became more than that, I was known by name. In deciding to pursue teaching in college, I knew I always wanted to come back to McLean, and am blessed with the opportunity to do so. McLean is such a special institution where students, teachers, and parents alike are able to work cooperatively and collaboratively in order to achieve common goals. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Special Education at American University. Along with teaching, I serve as the proud President of the newly reformed Alumni Association, and hope to grow our alumni network throughout the years. I am very fortunate to be a member of the McLean community during this wonderfully transformative time, and look forward to what successes lay ahead in our future.
