I grew up in the UK, moved here in 1991 to teach at the Washington International School (WIS). I taught and was Dean of Students at WIS until 2008, when I moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I lived in Indianapolis until moving here in 2011. I love DC, and I liked living in Asia.
I teach Chemistry and AP Chemistry as well as Environmental Science in Upper School. I received my BSc Honors and Postgraduate Certificate of Education from the University of Manchester, and my Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies from Oxford Brookes University. Science is life and how we live it. I think it's important to teach the next generation of voters to be able to understand scientific concepts.
I like good food, good drinks and good company. I like McLean because of the small classes, flexibility in curriculum and my Upper School colleagues.
