Course requirements are outlined below.  Students must take a minimum of 6 credits each year.

Typical Freshman Course Load

  • English 9
  • Foundations in Literature
  • US History
  • Mathematics (Algebra 1 or Geometry)
  • Biology
  • World Language (Spanish, ASL, or Latin)
  • Elective
  • Physical Education
  • Off Campus Education

Total: 6-7 Credits

Typical Sophomore Course Load

  • English 10
  • Global Literature
  • Western Traditions
  • Mathematics (Geometry or Algebra 2/Trig)
  • Science (Environmental or Chemistry)
  • World Language
  • Elective
  • Physical Education
  • Off Campus Education

Total: 6-7 Credits

Typical Junior Course Load

  • English 11
  • American Literature
  • The Modern World or AP European History
  • Mathematics (Algebra 2/Trig or Precalculus)
  • Science (Physics, Chemistry, Forensic Science, AP Chem, or AP Bio)

Typical Senior Course Load

  • Senior Humanities (AP English Literature and Composition, 20th Century Culture and Thought, Constructing the Past, or Creative Writing)
