Dear Upper School Families,
I hope you had a nice week.
Next week is Spirit Week. The Activity Committee has worked hard to organize the week and the Friday evening events. Each day next week has a dress theme. Please see below. On Friday, February 3, all Upper School students are invited to a Movie Night on campus. The movie Taken will be shown. Freshman and sophomore students will need to leave campus by 10:30 pm. Juniors and seniors are allowed to remain on campus for their on-campus overnight. Juniors and seniors will need to leave the building by 9:30 am on Saturday, February 4.
Parents of sophomores, please note that the Grade 10 Parent Coffee on Friday, February 3 will be held by College Counselor Hannah Serota. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss psycho-educational testing and the process for gaining standardized testing accommodations through the College Board and ACT.

Message from the Service League
The Service League will hold three drives during the month of February:
1. During the week of February 6, we will collect dog supplies such as collars, leashes, brushes, toys, blankets, and towels (new or gently used) for Lucky Dog Rescue.
2. During the week of February 13 we will collect used eyeglasses for Lion’s Club International.
3. During the weeks of February 20 and February 27 we will collect new or gently used clothing (no winter clothing) for children in Haiti through Destination Abricots.

Cecily’s Advocacy Workshop
Have you registered for the 3rd Annual Cecily’s Advocacy Workshop sponsored by the Parents Association? You (and your friends) are invited to this exciting day of workshops (over 8 to choose from) on Saturday, February 11 from 8:30 am—1:30 pm at McLean. The keynote address is being given by Thomas G. West author of Amazing Shortcomings, Amazing Gifts. Fees include keynote speaker, workshops and lunch.

Upper School Ski Trip
The Upper School is getting ready for an upcoming ski trip on March 17. The trip will be to Seven Springs, PA.
