McLean School of Maryland

Library

The McLean School Library contains a collection of over 25,000 volumes, 40 serial titles, and more than 500 audiovisual items including books on tape, videos, and dvds. It has subscriptions to current magazines and periodicals. The Library is a member of the RFB&D (Recording For the Blind and Dyslexic) and can assist students in locating both novels and textbooks on tape or compact disc.

The Library is centrally located in the school and has a media center with 10 computers. It also contains the school’s broadcast studio.

The Library has an extensive Professional Section for use by faculty and parents. This includes not only books but professional magazines and publications.

The Library hosts an annual book fair in the fall in conjunction with the Parents Association. Throughout the year, parent volunteers help make the library a warm and inviting place.
