McLean School is pleased to unveil its newly-designed Library. With its central location, comfortable seating, and available netbooks and lapbooks, students of all divisions are welcome to the Library in scheduled classes and for independent study and research. The Library also houses McLean’s television broadcast studio and features an interactive Smartboard for enhanced learning experiences.
The McLean School Library showcases a collection of over 16,000 volumes, and more than 300 DVDs and books on CD. A wide variety of professional journals and high quality magazines are also on display. In addition, an extensive professional section of books is available for faculty and parent use supporting various learning style strategies and insights.
Throughout the year, parent volunteers help make the library a warm and inviting place as do the Librarian and Assistant Librarian. The Librarians support collaborative learning in addition to providing separate quiet space for individualized needs.
The McLean School Library subscribes to online encyclopedia services and can direct students of all ages to suitable online reference resources. To access these subscriptions log in below and click Library Subscription Databases.
