There Once was an Old Man and a Blue Shoe …
… he had so many socks he didn’t know what to do. The Lower School students and faculty are having fun filling the large blue shoe during their Sock Drive. Each child was asked to bring in one new pair of socks to donate in support of A Wider Circle. This community based organization responds to hundreds of calls daily to provide basic items to families in need. A representative of the organization will speak briefly with the kids about how they are helping others with their support.
In celebration of the drive (and Valentine’s Day) the students will participate in a Charity Sock Hop. Students will gather in their socks for group dances led by PE teacher Darrien Tucker.
