The Pirates of Penzance (part 1)

The Pirates of Penzance, played to a sold-out audience over the weekend, was a raucous operatic tale full of fun and surprises. Ramsey A. ‘12 plays the swashbuckling Pirate King while Sarah C. ‘12 makes her theatrical debut at McLean as the lovely Mabel. When Mabel and Frederic (Sam G.’11), a young pirate bound to serve the Pirate King, fall in love, complications arise and high-spirited antics ensue. Jack W. ‘14 had the audience in peels of laughter as he played the role of the Major-General brilliantly. The cast of daughters, and particularly the Keystone Cops, offered the audience a romp of delightful music and silliness.
