Grade 6 Earth Science Students are “Earthquake-Resistant!”

The 6th grade Earth Science classes began their unit on Plate Tectonics with a challenge - to design and build a 3-story “earthquake-resistant” structure out of popsicle sticks! The students then tested the soundness of their structures by strapping them to an earthquake shake board and simulating a variety of seismic waves.
