Sockin’ & Hoppin’ for A Wider Circle
Valentine’s Day was celebrated by wearing red, white or pink tops and fun socks! Valentine cards were exchanged between students and teachers, with a few treats for the tummy. The most fun was the Lower School Charity Sock Hop. Students kicked off their shoes and had some fun doing group dances led by our own PE teacher Darrien Tucker. Each child was asked to bring at least one new pair of socks with them to school that day to donate in support of A Wider Circle. This community based organization responds to hundreds of calls daily to provide basic items to families in need. A representative of the organization spoke briefly with the kids about how they are helping others with their support.
