As part of the kindergarten study on health and nutrition, the kindergarten students learned about the importance of washing their hands and brushing their teeth. Upper School Biology teacher, Amir Raza, came to the class to help do an experiment to show how germs are everywhere (even though we don’t see them). Each child was allowed to swab either their hand or their mouth and put the cultures in a petri dish. After a short incubation period, the kindies were surprised (and a little grossed out) by what they found! Needless to say, washing hands has become a very important part of their routines.
