Composing or Decomposing in Grade 3?

The beguiling and wily Wanda and her cohort, Ms. Sykes, visited the third graders in room 153 after a 2-year hiatus. They brought their pot and their vivacious personalities to enlist the help of the students in preparing their very bizarre, but amazing, original brew. The third graders were more than helpful in selecting the prime ingredients and helping to stir the bubbling pot. The question of whether they will want to eat the concoction remains to be seen! However, we know that they are now primed to begin to write a bewitching composition.
