McLean Whips St. Andrews 1-0

On Saturday, there was a great illustration of the parent support at our Boys Varsity Soccer game at St. Andrews School. It seemed that most every player was represented with at least one parent. The McLean community showed their great spirit with a large number of students there to support our team as well. The crowd was loud and clearly heard by our team. This was St. Andrews homecoming game, although not a league game, the contest had meaning for our players. The game was a chance to show that little McLean could compete against our bigger local rival. Happily, our tenacious Mustangs defeated St. Andrews in a hard fought 1-0 battle. It was great to see the spirited play from the team, but also impressive seeing the spirit from those of us up on the hill watching the game. When the game ended the players, led by Coach Watkins, raced onto the field as their loyal fans cheered wildly. It was another great McLean moment.
