Our Middle School is uniquely tailored to the intensity of adolescence. We’re a tightly knit group here — studying, working and sharing in a comfortable environment full of energy and enthusiasm. We are enriched by our differences. We appreciate each other’s strengths. And we learn to compensate for our weaknesses.
In grades 5 and 6, our classes are homeroom-based with flexible scheduling. Students study literature and math in small sections that cater to their aptitude. In grades 7 and 8, students move from class to class. English, writing and literature become separate courses — the key to developing enthusiastic readers and exceptional writers.
Weekly Community Meetings strengthen our connections, with discussion groups, poetry readings, musical performances and presentations from visitors. Our Middle School teachers, counselors, specialists and advisors form close bonds with the students to provide role models and mentors during this critically important time in their lives.
