The Lower School Student Council is comprised of student representatives from each Kindergarten through Grade 4 class. One or two representatives from each class are selected by the teachers to serve on the Council for the school year. The Lower School Student Council meets monthly with two faculty sponsors. The group plans quarterly community service projects for the Lower School, including annual book drives, canned food drives, fundraising bake sales” and “free dress” days.
The Student Council also spearheads all school spirit activities, including “Spirit Week,” a K-4 Movie Afternoon and other special events. After each planning session, members of the Lower School Student Council are responsible for communicating the plan for upcoming events to their classmates, as well as organizing, publicizing and running the events. Tenure on the Council lasts one school year.
