Grade 7 Takes a Bite Out of Cultural Geography Class

Barbara Korin’s 7th grade Cultural Geography class enjoyed a regional celebration activity last Friday. Each student and Ms. Korin brought in a food dish typical of their current region of study — North Africa, Southwest Asia and Central Asia. Keeping with the custom of this culture, the students spread a tablecloth on the floor and added pillows for comfort. The girls served the boys, much to everyone’s amusement, and the class tried eating with their hands or using pita bread to pick up the food.
