Third grade teacher Diana Pankowski took the Middle School students on a tour of Kenya, Africa. Through a power point presentation, artifacts, including a sword, bridal breast plate, drum and musical instruments, and many interesting personal stories, the students learned about the country, its geography, wildlife, and traditions. They also learned about the children of Kenya and how they spend their days. Mrs. Pankowski recommended the book Facing the Lion (which is in our school library), so the children may learn more about this interesting part of the world and its people.
