World Geography

The 7th Grade Geography and Culture course revolves around the question how does where we live influence how we act? Students study both basic geography skills (using a globe, reading maps, charts and graphs) and habits of mind (reading for understanding, making connections, self-evaluating), and then apply these skills and habits to learn about themselves and the world around them. The course pays particular attention to current world issues involving non-Western cultures.
