As social chair of her sorority at Elon University, Charlene recently planned a masquerade ball in a castle. The event was as magical as the “Night in Venice” prom she planned at McLean (complete with two gondolas) and as creative as the bank opening she planned for her senior project (featuring 4,800 donuts).
A self-described “organizing freak,” Charlene was yearbook editor, played three sports and earned straight A’s. “Before McLean, I hated school with a passion,” she says. “At McLean, I enjoyed every second. I wouldn’t be where I am today if not for McLean and my parents.”
Enough about today, Charlene — what’s scheduled for tomorrow? “I’d love to be an event planner, working out of my home and raising my kids. If I live in this area, my children will definitely go to McLean.”
We’ll plan on it.
