McLean School of Maryland

Meghan

Class of 2012

My friends would describe me as opinionated and goofy. I like to work with my hands and fix up antique furniture.

McLean helped me to learn, which gave me confidence. The small classes help the teachers see where I struggle and where I succeed. The teachers are approachable, which means a lot.

Algebra II is my favorite subject because I like to challenge myself. Mr. Singer makes the math classes fun. I like Mr. Dunn and our lively discussions about politics.

I feel like I’m bragging, but I took a really heavy course load this year, and I was a tri-season athlete. I managed pretty well and felt like my sophomore year was a big accomplishment.

I’d like to eventually get a Ph.D. — maybe in psychology or world affairs.

I would like to be able to make it into an Ivy League school and afford a nice truck. I’m a truck girl.
