My friends would probably say I’m energetic, I’m talented and I can be a—pain.
My Hebrew name, Divida Malka, which means beloved queen, is what Amy Victoria means in English. Amy means beloved, and Victoria is the reference to the queen.
One thing that people don’t know about me is that my career goal is to become a cantor.
My English teacher Mr. Booth is a funny guy. In his classroom you cannot actually see the wall—it’s full of posters. It always surprises me how teachers can be so cool. His writing class has really prepared me for college.
You get opportunities at McLean that you don’t get at other schools. Classes are small, and if you don’t understand something you can always ask your teacher to go back and explain it.
I just started learning guitar because the college I want to get into requires experience with guitar, piano and voice.
When I go to college, I want to major in Vocal Performance and Judaic Studies. The Judaic studies part fascinates me and I’ve always had musical ability. I love to sing—I’m always singing.
Later, I hope to go to graduate school at Hebrew Union College in New York.
